El técnico de instalación domiciliaria es responsable del tendido de fibra óptica, coaxial y/o cobre desde el nodo del proveedor hasta el interior del domicilio. Realiza tareas en altura y tendidos de cableado dentro del domicilio, recomendando el mejor trazado para que el mismo cumpla con las normativas requeridas. Posee conocimientos de instalaciones eléctricas y de gas para evitar realizar el tendido próximo a otras instalaciones existentes.
