Los responsables de la conservación de frutas y verduras preparan y conservan los productos hortofrutícolas mediante máquinas. Su objetivo es mantener la conservación de los alimentos perecederos en una forma estable. Así, llevan a cabo tareas como la congelación, conservación, embalaje posterior a la clasificación, la clasificación, el lavado, el pelado, el recorte y el corte de los productos agrícolas.
