Los operadores de terreno en plantas químicas monitorean y operan unidades y maquinaria para mezclar y procesar una amplia gama de especialidades químicas, farmacéuticas, de limpieza y de artículos de tocador de acuerdo a estándares específicos. Maneja maquinaria a través de tableros de control con funcionalidades manuales, digitales y/o electrónicas y está en coordinación constante con el operador de sala. Además, ejecuta los trabajos propios de funcionamiento, mantenimiento y control de aparatos, equipos e instalaciones para los diversos procesos químicos y fases de fabricación de productos de acuerdo a criterios, técnicas y protocolos asociados al análisis de riesgos.
