Los operadores de logística operan maquinaria que provee el suministro de insumos para el proceso productivo, de acuerdo con las especificaciones del plan productivo. Se ubican tanto al comienzo como en el final de los procesos definidos. En general, operan maquinas que desplazan y disponen carga, pero en el contexto de la manufactura avanzada, ello requiere una coordinación con máquinas autónomas y el uso de software que registra, y a veces dicta, el cambio de stock.
