El animador/animadora crea historias en movimiento, desde la elaboración de storyboards y animatics que parten desde un guión hasta el dibujo de cada elemento animado hecho en un software especializado como Adobe Animate o Toon Boom Harmony. Su objetivo principal es dominar los fundamentos de dibujo y animación para generar "ilusión de vida".
